The adage goes, "If you're not paying for a service, you're the product, not the customer" and it's never been more true.

Prestashop S.A. is like other companies and tracks your every move on this administration panel to learn as much about your habits and activities as possible.

On Prestashop 1.6, your e-mail, current tab and administration panel URL are sent to Prestashop on every administration page. On some tabs up to 6 calls to Prestashop's servers are made. That doesn't mean that Prestashop S.A. collects or uses those information but it can and you should be able to chose what information you send and when.

This module helps you to defend your privacy by blocking visible and hidden calls to Prestashop's servers. Choose the elements to block and learn what information are sent.

Side effects:

• Did you ever noticed that sometime your administration panel is slower than usual ? It may be caused by a slowdown in Prestashop's servers and your server is hanging by waiting for a response from them.
• Insert external content in a page is a security risk. If Prestashop's servers are hacked, it's possible to insert malicious content in your administration panel. This already happened.

Blocking request to those servers solves this issue.

Getting started

1. Install the module in Prestashop by following the documentation for Prestashop 1.6 or 1.5
2. On the configuration page choose your parameters.
3. Visible and hidden calls are blocked immediately.
