Updating orders is a necessary but very long process.
Customers need to know when their products are shipped and to follow their shipment.
This module allows you to update in mass your orders by importing the shipping numbers using a CSV file.
In one step you can associate the shipping numbers to hundreds orders, modify their status and send the tracking links to your customers. So you can save hours of work and avoid input errors.
CSV is a very common format, files can by generated by Microsoft Excel or any spreadsheet software, most of the delivery management system, ERP or be sent by most of the delivery companies.
You can manually upload the CSV files but you can schedule a daily import and gain even more time.
With scheduled imports, your orders will be automatically updated without your intervention.
The file containing the shipping numbers can be uploaded manually or automatically.
For scheduled imports, you set
The CSV file can contain a lot of data but the module needs only two things :
the shipping number and something to identify the associated order.
So the smallest usable CSV file has only two columns but you can use more complicated files,
the module will use only what it needs.
Orders are usually identified by the delivery number but order ID, cart ID or invoice number are also fine. If no order correspond to the identifier, the line is simply ignored.
You can define the status to put the updated orders. Most of the time it's "Delivered" but it can be what you want.
