Automatic installation of a Prestashop module

Once the download is complete you can follow the following steps:

• Connect to the BackOffice of your PrestaShop shop
• Go to the Modules tab
• Click on the Add a new module link
• Download the archive of the registered module on your computer and validate
• Look for the new module in the list, scroll down if necessary (we advise you to use the internal search engine from version 1.4 of Prestashop)
• In the line of the new module, click on Install
• Look for the new module again. If necessary, click on Configure
• Once the configuration is complete, you can immediately use the module to check that it works as expected

This method does not work for versions prior to Prestashop 1.3, for these older versions please use the manual method indicated below.

Manual installation of a Prestashop module

Once the download is complete you can follow the following steps:

• Unzip (decompress) the module archive (.zip file)
• Connect to your server using an FTP client (Windows - Mac)
• Place the extracted folder in the /modules directory of your server
• Connect to the BackOffice of your PrestaShop shop
• Go to the Modules tab
• Look for the new module in the list, scroll down if necessary (we advise you to use the internal search engine from version 1.4 of Prestashop)
• In the line of the new module, click on Install
• Look for the new module again. If necessary, click on Configure
• Once the configuration is complete, you can immediately use the module to check that it works as expected
